As President of the Interfraternity Council here at Old Dominion University it is my job first and foremost to represent true Fraternity manhood at all events, both Greek and non-Greek where necessary. I also am responsible for overseeing the executive council and all proceedings related to IFC.

Why I Joined Greek Life: The biggest reason I joined a Fraternity was for networking and the leadership opportunities. It has continually proven to be one of the greatest decisions of my collegian career.

My duties as Executive Vice President of IFC at ODU are to assist the President in any capacity needed and to oversee all committees deemed worthy by the Interfraternity Council. This means I am in charge of assigning duties to each committee and making sure that all tasks are being completed in a timely and effective manner.

Why I Joined Greek Life: My primary goal for joining a Fraternity was to make lifelong friends and brothers. However, beyond this I have been given a multitude of leadership opportunities and learned life skills that will continue to serve me in the business and social world.

As the VP of Recruitment for Old Dominion University it is my job to make sure that the Greek community stays alive by coordinating events that allow Non-Greeks the opportunity to come and see the benefits and opportunities that Greek life has to offer. I also oversee the statistical aspect of recruitment making sure that the numbers reflect the work that we are putting into this 365 rush program.

Why I Joined Greek Life: At first I joined Greek life for the friendships and the potential networking when i graduate. I have come to see it's much more than that. I now have faith in myself that was never there, I have learned to take on challenging tasks and complete them being proud of what i have done, and lastly my social skills and public speaking skills have increased tremendously along with my drive to never settle, but always push the envelope. "IT'S NOT WHO YOU ARE, BUT WHO YOU BECOME"

I joined the Executive Board of IFC as the Vice President of Public Relations in December of 2009, and since then I have enjoyed working with the chapters to promote events such as outreach, philanthropy, academic programs and recruitment. I am a seasoned brother of Phi Kappa Tau and I am always available to help anyone that needs it. I am experienced in event planning and marketing and was proudly elected for my position because of these interests. I am a part of ODU's Dean of Student Leadership Council which is a board of Student Advisor to the Dean of Students. I joined Greek life in Fall 2008 to become more active on campus and to become acclimated to the university. I take on leadership to become more experienced as a leader and hope to continue to gather the skills needed to become a more effective leader for future endeavors. You only get the college experience once, and I plan on getting all that I can out of it.
