The Mission of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International is to build and support chapters and alumni organizations for the purpose of maintaining a Fellowship of kindred minds united in Brotherhood, To advance Truth and justice, To Promote Scholarship, To Encourage Chivalry, To Diffuse Culture, And to Develop Character In the service of God and man.

Sigma Pi Fraternity is the leading, international men's collegiate fraternal organization which provides training, guidance and innovative opportunities for: Leadership Development, Social and Personal Development, Academic Achievement, Community Service and Heightened Moral Awareness For it's brothers throughout their lives.

Organization Facts

Sigma Pi Fraternity International was the first fraternity to actually create an event that is solely dedicated to giving back to the schools on which their chapters are present. The Sigma Pi ACE Project is the Altruistic Campus Experience and it is mandatory for each chapter. Sigma Pi has been praised for their ACE Project since its creation and will continue to be present at Sigma Pi chapters its campuses around the country.

Sigma Pi is also the forerunner in educating students in responsible drinking. Sigma Pi co-sponsors the Sam Spady Foundation, a foundation completely dedicated to educating students about the dangers and risks that deal with binge drinking.

Chapter Facts

Sigma Pi Theta Eta Chapter at Old Dominion University was founded in 2003 and has excelled all the way to sixteenth best chapter in the nation out of 136.

For the past several years Theta Eta chapter has been giving back to Old Dominion University through its ACE project. Most recently, Theta Eta has been hosting the event "Safe Spring Break," an event designed to educate students about how to stay safe during spring break.

Recruitment Info

Fall 2008 Recruitment statistics were great! We handed out 23 bids to potentials and had 21 accept. We have pinned all 21 new members and they have successfully become Iota class and are on their through new member education.
